ngx-image-editor
Standalone Angular image editor with layers, masks, non-destructive filters and a canvas engine that never uploads a pixel. Everything happens on the client — no processing service to run, nothing leaving the user’s machine. Works with Angular 18 through 22.

Questions
- Does ngx-image-editor upload images to a server?
- No. Every operation — layers, filters, crop, export — runs on a canvas in the browser. There is no processing backend to deploy and no pixel leaves the user’s machine.
- Which export formats are supported?
- PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and TIFF, all in the free tier. AVIF uses a WASM encoder shipped with the package; if your assets are served from a non-default path, point avifWasmUrl at it in provideImageEditor.
- Which Angular versions does it support?
- Angular 18 through 22, as a standalone component with panel components (toolbar, layers, properties) you can also use individually.
- What is free and what needs a licence?
- Free forever: canvas, image/text/shape layers, the layers panel, opacity, core filters, crop and all six export formats. A licence adds layer styles, adjustment layers, extended filters and SVG export.
- Does the free tier need a licence key?
- No — the free tier works with no key at all. Premium unlocks with an offline signed key: no licence server, no telemetry, and an invalid key falls back to free instead of breaking the editor.
